CHARACTER DESIGN

These are some of the steps I go through when I am creating new characters and some characters that I have dreamt up.

 TINA

The process towards creating the character “Tina” started with gathering references that fit the concept of who Tina is supposed to be. She is a rambunctious little girl from a friend’s original story based in the 80’s, who wears bright vibrant colors and has big hair.

Next was exploration of character silhouettes to figure out her shape.

Refinements to the explorations.

Bug Bear

I was inspired to create a Bug Bear because I love the lore of the British Isles, where they are spectral bears believed to lure children into the woods. They are the source of the modern phrase " Boogey Man".
